Milestone for Heston redevelopment

by Jim Dunton Wed 25 September 2013, 1:13 pm

The regeneration of Heston Farm Estate has reached a key stage with the completion of roof-works on the £5.9 million Passingham House development.

A mix of one-, two, and three-bedroom apartments, the four-storey block will provide 17 homes for open-market sale by developers Lovell and 19 homes for affordable rent through Hounslow Homes.

The scheme - which is set for completion in March -  is the first of six new housing schemes being delivered as part of a wide-ranging regeneration programme on the Brabazon, Northfield Road and Redwood estates, and at Harlech Gardens and Norman Crescent.

Councillor Steve Curran, Hounslow Council’s cabinet member for housing, planning and regeneration, said the programme would ultimately create more than 150 new homes for local families.

“The scheme will help us reach our target of getting 2,500 new affordable homes built or approved by 2014, giving thousands of local people the homes they need,” he said.
