Goals for growth focus for Hounslow event

Hounslow Council will present and discuss key focus areas for development and investment in the borough, at an event organised by 3Fox International.
It takes place at the Hounslow Civic Centre on 10 February, as the council prepares to submit a paper to the London Enterprise Panel (LEP), which will set out ways to create common goals for progressing economic development and investment in Hounslow.
The LEP – chaired by London mayor Boris Johnson – works with London boroughs, businesses and Transport for London to boost employment and skills and develop regeneration projects.
An updated Local Economic Assessment and early masterplan for the borough’s Golden Mile will also be set out at the event.
Speakers include Harvey McGrath, deputy chairman of the LEP, as well as council members and representatives from local businesses. A discussion panel will follow, chaired by Councillor Steve Curran, cabinet member for regeneration and housing and which also features Mary Harpley, chief exececutive at the London Borough of Hounslow. The event will close with a drinks and networking session.
Representatives from Sky, Catalyst Housing, Heathrow Airport, GVA, Willmott Dixon, St George, Lovell, Segro, West Thames College, Thames Valley Housing Asssociation have confirmed their attendance.
