Phase one of the regeneration of Hounslow High Street is now complete, and was marked by a ribbon-cutting ceremony last week (4 April).
The opening of Bell Square, the new performance space at the west end of the high street, featured performances by dhol drummers and bhangra dancers.
The square will be used for theatre, dance and circus acts.
Councillor Steve Curran, Hounslow Council's cabinet member for housing, planning and regeneration, said: "Bell Square represents what we want Hounslow High Street to become and along with the wider regeneration of the town centre.
“We want to create a colourful, exciting vibrant town centre which is a magnet for shoppers and residents."
