The developer Segro has donated ￡5,000 to The New Dragon Centre – a community centre in Hounslow – to help towards the campaign to find new, larger premises.
The donation was presented by Segro yesterday (6 August) at the centre in Hanworth, which has been in operation for 20 years.
The New Dragon Centre was so named after being founded by St George’s Church, and serves the communities of Hanworth and Feltham.
Reverend Paul Williamson, chairman of The New Dragon Centre, said: “We’re grateful to SEGRO for their donation and their enthusiastic support for our project generally. This donation pushes us up to the halfway mark in achieving our fundraising goal."
Neil Impiazzi, partnerships development manager at Segro, said: “We are pleased to be supporting such an important community centre in an area that is challenged by high levels of deprivation among what is a very young local population.”
