The senior site manager working at the WestSide development in Brentford has won a National House Building Council (NHBC) Pride in the Job Quality Award.

Chandra Kancham will now be put forward for the NHBC Pride in the Job Seal of Excellence Awards, which will be revealed in the autumn.

The Bellway Homes scheme is located on the corner of Great West Road and Ealing Road in Brentford. It features 137 apartments in three buildings, two brand new hotels, a car showroom and 4,680sq m of office space.

Kancham said: “I am very proud to receive a Pride in the Job Quality Award, which I accept on behalf of the whole team at WestSide, who have continually exceeded all expectations during this project.

“It is an outstanding achievement to receive recognition from the NHBC, not just because of the reputation the award holds within this industry, but also because it has shown that our hard work and dedication in bringing the new quality homes to this area hasn’t gone unnoticed.”

The majority of homes at the scheme have balconies or terraces and underground parking. It is due for completion in 2016.

Rob Sapsford, construction director at Bellway North London, said: “We will continue to demonstrate that a major redevelopment of this scale can be conceived and built to the highest standards, not just at WestSide but across all of our developments, by providing quality new homes for the local community.”
