Town centre tower to go to planning

Wed 1 July 2015, 9:39 am

Developer Barratt Londonís proposals to build a 27-storey tower in Hounslow town centre will go before planners at the council at the end of July.

The tower will include 527 homes and the scheme will also feature a 10-screen cinema, cafes and a public square located between Hounslow High Street and an ASDA superstore.

A two-storey underground car park and public square are also part of the plans to transform the car park site.

The planning application states: "The integration of the leisure offer with the new and existing retail offer across the town centre will provide a wider experience for the people of Hounslow, extending dwell times and creating a vibrant, family based evening economy."
