Planning application submitted for Chiswick Park bridge

Mon 19 October 2015, 3:22 pm

A planning application has been submitted to build a footbridge between the Chiswick Park development for businesses and Chiswick Park tube station.

This follows the completion of Building Seven at the facility, which will increase the number of employees working at Chiswick Park to 12,000.

It is predicted that the increase in employees at the business park will increase footfall to surrounding tube stations, such as Gunnersbury Park – which is likely to struggle with congestion issues. This is a contributing factor in the planning application being pushed through, according to local news site ChiswickW4.

It reported: “The footbridge will mean ease of access for commuters from the northern end of the business park to Colonial Drive, where they can use Chiswick Park tube station, thus taking the pressure off Gunnersbury.”
