Council offers support for local businesses

by Marco Cillario Fri 5 August 2016, 12:45 pm

A free training and mentoring support service has been set up to help Hounslow's small businesses grow.

Funded by Hounslow Council and run in association with Branduin Business Support and Hounslow Chamber of Commerce, the programme is designed to support companies based in the borough which employ less than 10 people.

It offers information on creating a business strategy, advice on financial management, marketing and online presence.

The service will also include one-to-one mentoring sessions with business advisers.

The council said the package, offered free of charge to local businesses, has an economic value of £2,000.

Councillor Steve Curran, leader of Hounslow Council, said: “In these tough economic times, local businesses rely on the support and backing we can give them as a local authority.

“I encourage local small businesses to get on board with this and see how it can help them to continue to grow.”
