Open space at Chiswick Gate

by Marco Cillario Fri 5 August 2016, 12:52 pm

A developer at a scheme in Chiswick has committed to providing every property with open space.

Berkeley Homes has announced that all 173 new homes currently being developed at Chiswick Gate will have private balconies or terraces.

The scheme will also have 2,136sq m of communal landscaped gardens.

The announcement comes as figures published by comparison service GoCompare show that gardens are third in the list of Britons’ ‘must-have’ property features – after central heating and double glazing.

The survey of 2,004 Brits, conducted by Bilendi, reveals that 71% consider open space a priority when looking for a place to live.

Chiswick Gate, on the site of the former Cherry Blossom shoe polish factory, will feature a collection of one, two and three-bedroom apartments and two and three-bedroom penthouses, along with three, four and five-bedroom townhouses. It will also include a gym.

Work started in September 2015 and completion is expected for the second half of 2017.
