Awards for Hounslow’s businesses

The Hounslow Business Awards celebrated the success of enterprise and entrepreneurship in the London borough for the fourth year running last month.
On Thursday 13 October, the achievements of local businesses were celebrated in categories from Entrepreneur of the Year to Best Green Business.
The ceremony at the Hilton London Syon Park Hotel was attended by Councillor Steve Curran, leader of Hounslow Council; Councillor Theo Dennison, cabinet member for finance and citizen engagement and the mayor of Hounslow, Councillor Ajmer Grewal.
Love Give Ink, a gift and print stationery business, scooped two awards for Best New Business and Business of the Year, while its founder and director Martha Keith, picked up the Entrepreneur of the Year award.
Brentford Market won in the best charity or social enterprise category.
Councillor Steve Curran, leader of Hounslow Council, said: “Our local businesses are the bedrock of commerce in Hounslow and provide many local jobs to residents. Congratulations to all the winners and the finalists for their continuing outstanding contributions to our business community."
A panel of industry and business leaders selected the winners from the large number of nominations.
Stephen Fry, chief executive of the Hounslow Chamber of Commerce, said: “What a fantastic evening. Every part of the borough was celebrated as the home of innovators. Tonight demonstrated that Hounslow is brimming with talent. It was a privilege to share in their success.”
