Gourmet meals for the skies

High-end airline caterer and entertainment firm DO & CO has signed a pre-let for a 15,979sq m building at SEGRO Park Heathrow on a 25-year agreement, the largest letting in a decade.

The company, which operates worldwide, will use the facility for producing and distributing its airline catering, for brands such as British Airways, Singapore Airlines and Royal Jordanian.

Gottfried Neumeister, chief operations officer at DO & CO, said: "This new facility is integral to the future growth our business in the UK, not only providing the UK and international connectivity we need, but also placing us close to our airline customers.

"We see this as another milestone in our ongoing commitment to our UK business and feel we have found a real partner for our UK growth vision in SEGRO."

Construction of the building will begin in autumn 2018, subject to planning consent.

In addition, SEGRO has agreed two new signings, both on 10-year leases, at its North Feltham Trading Estate in Hounslow, three miles from Heathrow.

Options, a European events company, will occupy a 2,824sq m industrial unit at 602 Central Way, which will serve as its UK headquarters, while logistics company Uniserve has agreed terms to occupy 5,000sq m at Central House.
