Developer making progress in Hounslow

A property development firm in Hounslow is aiming to “increase employment opportunities” and “build for communities to live-work-play” through proposed schemes for the area.
Shetson Property Developments is at a variety of planning stages for several projects with homes, retail and hotels intended for Hounslow West.
The firm has been granted planning permission for a site in Martindale Road to demolish a pub to create three new one-bedroom houses.
Tarun Singh, land and developments director at Shetson Property Developments, said: “Hounslow West is a vibrant, growing and sustainable place to live. Our key to a successful development is to build for communities to live-work-play. We are keen to increase employment opportunities as much as possible for the residents in the area, both during construction and after.”
The company also has a scheme planned for Cavendish Parade, in Bath Road, and intends to demolish existing flats and retail for a new eight-storey building for mixed use development, with a basement car park, retail, hotel and residential units.
This is presently at pre-planning application stage with Hounslow Council and the site should create an extra 40 residential units, which will offer 40% social housing, and provide employment for around 25 full-time jobs.
Currently also in the pre-planning application stage with Hounslow Council are proposals to demolish a pub at 286 Bath Road, where it is intended a seven-storey building with mixed use development will be built with a car park, new pub, retail, gym and apart-hotel with approximately 80 rooms. The site should provide around 20 full-time jobs.
A scheme for 314-322 Bath Road intends to demolish existing upper floors and create a new development of 70 residential units with 40% social housing over five storeys. This scheme should be at pre-planning application stage with Hounslow Council next year, and is due to start work in 2022 subject to planning permission.
Finally the company has a plan for 152 Bath Road with a scheme, which is in the process of arranging a pre-planning application with Hounslow Council, offering 36 residential units with 40% social housing over five storeys.
Singh added: “The majority of our developments are within walking distance to Hounslow West tube station which has great links to Heathrow and London. The Council’s vision is clear, Hounslow is open for business and we want people not only to live and work here, but also to enjoy the area too.”
